The Goddess of Wisdom and Warfare, Athena used to be Xena's enemy during the Twilight and was killed by Xena while she was trying to save her daughter. But when Xena brought her back to life, they were no longer enemies. Athena was grateful for what Xena did. She no longer is a threat to Xena and though she is still a god and she and Xena aren't exactly friends, she looks at life a little differently and she uses her wisdom to the fullest. She respects Xena and can even come to Xena's aid when she needs it. To Xena, she is still the only one of the Olympians who ever really deserved her respect.
